Scheduling psychological or neuropsychological testing typically takes between 2 to 4 weeks after your initial appointment, depending on availability.
During the initial appointment, relevant information is collected to understand your needs. This includes reviewing any documents you provide, such as previous psychological assessments, court orders, or accommodation requests. The goal is to create a tailored plan, which may include recommendations for psychological or neuropsychological testing.
Reports are usually available about 2 to 3 weeks after testing. Emergency cases may be expedited.

Yes. There are circumstances in which evaluations may be performed remotely. Our office will discuss the particulars with you during your initial appointment, taking into consideration your particular circumstances. Arrangements need to be set up ahead of time, which take into consideration the environment in which you will be tested. You will require a quiet room, a desk top computer or laptop that is placed on a desk, and be able to receive a link to an email address, and access to high speed internet.
No. As the process of application for accommodations and disability is in the hands of the applicant, yourself, there are many factors at play, including steps over which the control is out of our hands (Department of Disability Determination), other providers’ documentation, and those for which you are responsible. However, as a practice, many of our patients have benefited greatly working with us.
The first appointment will involve an intake to gather information and develop a focused plan. You will provide the accommodation requirements from the relevant institution’s website. A testing date will then be scheduled, usually requiring 4 to 8 hours in the office. Some testing may be done remotely in certain situations. A follow-up appointment to review the report, diagnosis, and accommodation recommendations is typically scheduled within 2 to 3 weeks after testing.
Evidence varies. There is strong support for neurofeedback in ADHD with moderate evidence in anxiety, PTSD, insomnia, Withdrawal symptoms from addiction. As with any type of therapy, not everyone responds to neurofeedback, and results can depend on the practitioner’s skill, the protocol used, and the condition being treated.
Typical neurofeedback sessions last about 45 minutes. Frequency can range from 1 to 3 sessions per week, with treatment often spanning 20 to 40 sessions. Sessions are usually relaxing, during which patients may watch videos or play games controlled by their brainwaves. Neurofeedback should be guided by a trained clinician, ideally a licensed mental health or medical professional certified in neurofeedback (e.g., BCIA-certified).
